Star Wars: The Old Republic - Fandom Scarves Update
All right. Since I only got one reply, I’m going to assume that most people who play TOR either don’t want fandom scarves or are not on Tumblr. (I’ve seen some character blogs, but those don’t usually lend themselves to fandom scarves, I suppose.)
So, just in case someday someone comes looking, I’ll drop off the few I made yesterday. Emii, I noticed your like and made a Sith Assassin scarf just for you. ;) Let me know if there’s another class or two you’d like to have made!
Pub Scarves:
(Jedi Sentinel, Jedi Guardian, Jedi Sage, Jedi Shadow)

Imp Scarves:
(Imperial Agent Operative, Sith Assassin)

If you use these, please make sure the link comes back to this post so others can find them as well! If anyone wants one that I haven’t already made, let me know. I may end up finishing them someday on my own, but that’s only a ‘maybe’ if I get no replies.Edit: Fixed the HTML so the images show. Enjoy!
I had never heard of these, but I would take a warrior (juggernaut) one so badly!

On Imperial and Sith Categorization Semantics
Someone remind me to do one of my walls of text on why the Empire is NOT the same thing as the Sith. And why Republic is not the same as Jedi, of course. But it’s come to my attention more people merge the Sith and Empire together than Jedi and Republic, maybe because the Jedi “serve” (I call bullshit on that, too) the Republic.
Okay, no, I got myself riled up just by saying that so I’m gonna do it here. RIGHT NOW. YEAH. I’m not angry about it, I just like talking about it. I get excited. And obviously I really love the Sith and Jedi conflict, but I don’t think that’s the only thing Star Wars is about. Else it’d have been named Force Wars.
WALL OF TEXT INCOMING. It’s a history lesson and lots of me RAMBLING ABOUT SHIT NO ONE CARES ABOUT. The first part is mostly history, but I’ve marked where my explanation begins. And obviously, I’m aware the history can be interpreted in a lot of different ways… I just happen to believe mine is one of the more critical and less idealizing of Sith/Jedi of opinions. :P
The tl;dr is: The military and intelligence branches of the Empire, and its citizenry, are fighting for territory, resources, and governmental dominance. The Sith overlords are fighting JEDI because of philosophical reasons and have NO interest in their subordinates so long as they get to crush their enemies or make them suffer and can establish their superiority over a fellow Sith. They are two separate goals and two separate organizations; one just happens to borrow from the other to make power plays within their own organization.
beautiful essay everyone read it

I don’t know what I’m doing. Anek Legacy. Butts. Whatever. I don’t know. I like explaining and avoiding my writing.
FOR THE RECORD, I came up with the surname Anek YEARS ago while playing KotOR 2. My first Exile was Sian Mano. The first Exile I wrote about was Delasaer Chval (shuh-vahl), an absolute sue, but then was later transformed into Dessislava Anek, who still remains my main Exile, and who is actually kind of my personal trope of awkward long-haired women who are incredibly mild as far as Jedi go.
So it bears no relation to whomever named Mos Anek. I was butthurt when I saw that. :<
Anyway
SWTOR legacy characters below cut. No spoilers.
I think Delasaer and Karreja would get along; they’re both intellectuals and prize holocrons/knowledge over individuals. (Not that Karreja doesn’t like people, she just seems to treat them like walking holocrons; clearly, if you ask questions phrased slightly differently enough times, they will tell you everything. Someone should tell her this is not how it works.) Anyway, they should hang out sometime.
Also Cess is the best. <3
